How You Can Help Support Ambleside School

Many of these seats for our 2021-22 school year are taken, but we do have some room left in several classes. Help us fill the seats!

We’ve had a busy start to the new year, and we’re celebrating the reason why.  We have experienced a record re-enrollment this year, with 91% of our current students returning next year.  In addition, we have a steady stream of observers for our classroom visits and monthly school tours.

We still have room in some of our classes for next year, and we want to fill them.  We especially want more students in our eighth-grade class and more young ladies in Kindergarten, and there are open spots in several other classes as well.

Would you be willing to help?

Word of mouth has always been our best referral source. When other parents hear people they trust telling about their positive school experience, it goes farther than any advertising we could ever do.

Here are some of the things I have heard parents say over the past weeks:

  • “The teachers not only love the children, they often have deep insights on the children that only a caring outsider (e.g., non-family member) can observe.”

  • “Ambleside is a safe place where we know our children are being nurtured and cared for by teachers that love teaching and love Christ. We have also come to believe that … the Charlotte Mason teaching methodology, which Ambleside uses, is unlike anything we have seen, and it is superb.”

  • “We love the Ambleside community. The classes are small and the children spend much time together learning and playing. They are forming great friendships that we hope will be lasting.”

These kinds of testimonies go a long way with new parents considering schooling options for their children.

Here are some specific ways you can help support our efforts this month:

  1. Write an online review and share about your experience with Ambleside to help those outside the school understand what’s so special about what we do. (Follow us and like a few posts while you’re there!) Google & Facebook

  2. Invite your friends to come in for a Classroom Observation. These times are a great opportunity for new parents to see an Ambleside classroom in action.

  3. Invite your friends to sign up for a Kindergarten School Tour on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:30 - 10:30 am.  Or invite them to join me virtually on Zoom to hear more about the school here.

  4. Ask for a packet of our new brochures to share with your circle of parents, churches, preschools, child care centers, etc.  Contact Paige Monhollon at pmonhollon@ambleside.org, and we will deliver them to your car!

The more I see the good fruit of this long journey we get to share with students, parents, and teachers, I am truly grateful for your trust and partnership.  I am also grateful for the many children, now adults, who have been influenced by this education.

Help us share this feast with others!
